Michigan Interscholastic Press Association Summer Journalism Workshop for "Shoot Like a Pro" class.
On March 12th, I took over the official Northeastern Instagram account to answer questions and discuss my role as a photographer for the Governor's Press Office. In it, I explained what it's like to photograph the Governor, why I chose journalism, and what a day in my life looks like.
On March 6, Governor Maura Healey was featured on the talk show "Late Night With Seth Meyers." While describing the Governor's "Dunk-Queens" outfits, Meyers showed an image I took from Senate President Karen Spilka's Third Annual Galentine's Day Party. To have my images featured on national television was a surprise and an honor.
A position given to students who maintain a GPA average or higher of 3.5 and have no incomplete grade or grade below C–. A dean’s list, or honors list, is issued at the end of each fall and spring semester.
An opportunity offered to high-achieving students with a minimum 3.5 GPA to create a major-centered project to graduate from the Northeastern Honors College. I started developing a documentary about the Trump administration policies affecting student humanities projects and the art community. This project is currently underway.
The National Honors, Arts and Spanish Societies are organizations that appoint students who excel in various areas, such a: academics, leadership, artistic endeavors, Spanish-learning dedication, and character respectfully. Those recognized graduate with academic excellence.
The School of Journalism awards two freshmen in the journalism program each year for their outstanding work in the field and their future professional potential. Received April 2024.
The Michigan Interscholastic Press Association today honored 16 outstanding high school seniors as members of its 2023 Student Journalist Staff. The students — who represent the state’s top journalists among graduating seniors — were honored during an online ceremony.
Students chosen for the honorary Student Journalist Staff submit a portfolio of their work that is judged by a committee of student media advisers.
MIPA also recognized six members of the Student Journalist Staff with All-MIPA scholarships, the organization’s highest honor for student journalists. These journalists represent the top students in their field for Broadcast, Digital Media, News Design, News Writing, Photojournalism and Yearbook. Received May 2023.
Twelve high school seniors representing Grosse Pointe North, Grosse Pointe South and University Liggett high schools were honored for their achievements in school and service to their communities. Four students were presented with certificates and scholarships to be used toward college expenses in honor of their outstanding work. Received April 2022.
