Graphics & Motion

While working at DraftKings, I expanded my skillset to adapt to graphic and motion graphic design. Learning Adobe AfterEffects and how to create photo illustrations gave me the chance to elevate reported pieces visually.

The Huntington News 100

I learned how to add coding and create this simple motion graphic to elevate the celebration post for The Huntington 100 Instagram post. It sparked my interest in motion graphics and adding more animation to The News. You can view the post here

Trump attacked their universities. These students reported on it.

Collaborating on the portraiture for this story was truly a pleasure and a privilege. I greatly enjoyed experimenting and producing an accompanying After Effects motion graphic to compliment the piece on Instagram. You can view the post here

My Process

When creating these photo graphics, I prefer to use my own images and Wikimedia Commons to combine into a half-toned collage. Half-toning the images allows me to better mix the photos to become an entirely new graphic. If necessary, I also photoshop or illustrate my own elements to match the overall graphic vision.

As for motion graphics, each animation stems from a photoshop collage file. From there I add visual effects and transitions to elevate the overarching collage for future posts.
